Directed and written by Koratala Siva, and produced by Matinee Entertainment and Konidela Production Company, Acharya is an upcoming Telugu movie under the genre of action drama.
The music has been composed by Mani Sharma while cinematography has been rendered by Tirru. The film has been edited by Naveen Nooli and the art direction is handled by Suresh Selvarajan. The film majorly focuses on delivering a social message, with Chiranjeevi playing the role of Acharya.

Acharya Release Date
The shooting started in October 2019. The movie was to be released on May 13, 2021 but was delayed due to the pandemic. The film is postponed again from February 4, 2022, due to the 3rd wave.
Now the father-son duo will hit theaters on the 29th of April 2022:

Acharya Star Cast
The lead roles have been played by Chiranjeevi and Kajal Aggarwal while we see Ram Charan playing the role of Siddha, and Pooja Hegde as Neelambari. Saurav Lokesh, Ajay, Jisshu Sengupta, Regina Cassandra, Kishore, Tanikella Bharani, Sangeetha, Posani Krishna Murali, and Krish are also playing key roles in the movie.
Acharya Plot
A socio-political actioner, Acharya is about a moderately aged Naxalite-turned-social reformer who dispatches a battle against the Endowments Department over misappropriation and theft of temple assets and funds. The film also marks Trisha’s comeback in the Telugu film industry after numerous years.
Last year, a writer associate director, Rajesh claimed that the storyline of the movie has been copied from his film “Annayya”, but the makers of Acharya were quick to respond against the allegations and refuted all rumors about the same.
The film stars Chiranjeevi as Acharya, where this Chiranjeevi’s first collaboration with Koratala Siva. Undoubtedly, one of the much-awaited South Indian Movies.

Acharya Teaser
Though the makers of the film are yet to share the trailer of the movie, the teaser was released earlier this year in January. The teaser shares a glimpse of Chiranjeev as Acharya that begins with the dialogue “People who live for others are no less than God and when such lives are in danger God doesn’t have to come as their savior”. He then says that people call him Acharya maybe because he teaches them a lesson.
The filmmakers even released the promo of the song Neelambari on November 5, 2021.
Last year, the motion poster was also released on Chiranjeev’s 65th Birthday, where we could see that the movie is related to the temple and the temple lands.
Acharya Budget
The approximate budget of the film is set around Rs 140 Cr.
