Tollywood superstar and Baahubali fame Prabhas starrer Adipurush has been creating buzz since its announcement in August 2020. The mythological film is based on the Sanskrit epic Ramayana, one of the two important legends of Hinduism, showcasing the triumph of good over evil.
The magnum opus is directed by the National award winning filmmaker Om Raut who has directed superhit films such as Ajay Devgn starrer historical action drama film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior Marathi biopic Lokmanya: Ek Yug Purush, based on the life story of Indian freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak.

It stars Prabhas as Lord Ram/Raghava and Kriti Sanon as Goddess Sita/Jananki. Saif Ali Khan will be seen as antagonist Ravan/ Lankesh, whereas actor Sunny Singh is playing Lord Ram’s brother Lord Lakshman and Devdatta Nage as Lord Hanuman.
Adipurush Teaser Release Date Locked
The makers of the film have come up with an important update for the fans who are excited to watch the film on silver screens. Now adding to the excitement, the release date of the much anticipated teaser and first look poster has been revealed by the team.
The film will have a grand teaser launch on October 2, 2022, on the bank or Saryu river, in the holy land of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Nothing can be much better than this way of launching the trailer as Ayodhya is the birth place of Lord Ram. So the location is very relevant for this grand event.
This grand teaser launch event will be graced with the presence of Prabhas and Kriti Sanon along with the film’s director Om Raut and producer Bhushan Kumar. Om Raut confirmed the date and venue in a social media post. Along with the teaser, the first look of the film will also be released the same day.

Will the Team Meet Uttar Pradesh’ CM Yogi Adityanath?
As per recent reports, ahead of the film’s teaser launch, Adipurush’s producer Bhushan Kumar has requested the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath for a meeting on October 1, 2022. Reports are also stating that Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and director Om Raut will showcase the Adipurush poster and teaser to the CM.
Well, these are just media claims, official confirmation from the team regarding it, is still awaited.

Adipurush Release Date
The mega Pan India film is slated to be released on Sankranthi next year on January 12, 2022 in IMAX and 3D. Along with Hindi and Telugu film languages, it will also be released in dubbed Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions.
