The very talented Actor and producer Santhanam starrer Agent Kannaiyiram is a most-awaited Tamil comedy-drama.
The film is a remake of the 2019 Telugu film Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya in which Naveen Polishetty played the role of detective Athreya. It was directed by Swaroop RSJ and is also streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The film turned out to be a critically acclaimed blockbuster hit grossing Rs. 20 crore against the total budget of Rs. 5 crores.
Now its new version ‘Agent Kannayiram’ is all set to entertain the Tamil audience with a bag full of mystery, humor, and comedy.
Comedian-turned-actor Santhanam is a perfect choice for the role of Kanniyiram, who is an agent and solved some mysterious cases.

Agent Kannayiram Makers
The film is helmed by Manoj Beedha, who made his Tamil directorial debut with 2018 crime thriller Vanjagar Ulagam while bankrolled by Labrynth Films.
If we talk about technical work, cinematography and editing work is handled by Saravanan Ramasamy and Ajay, respectively while Ramesh Marabu has written the screenplay of the film, along with director manoj.
Yuhan Shankar Raja has composed the music and given the background score in the teaser, which makes it look so unique. Music rights of the movie are acquired by Think Music.
Plot of the Movie ‘Agent Kannayiram’
The story revolves around a very smart and stylish detective named Kannayiram, who solved some small cases, ignored by Police in a small town of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Story takes a serious turn when he starts investigating a case regarding some missing bodies. It will be interesting to see if this movie will be as successful as the original (Telugu) version.
