Veteran actor Akhil Mishra, who is known for playing the character of Librarian in Amir Khan’s 3 Idiots, passed away at the age of 58. The actor passed away in his home on September 21, 2023, and he was survived by his wife, actress Suzanne Bernert.
Apart from 3 Idiots, Mishra was featured in a variety of films and television series. He portrayed a wide range of characters in both films and TV series, which include roles in movies like ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’, ‘Gandhi, My Father’, and ‘Don’, among others.
One of Akhil Mishra’s prominent roles was the character of Umed Singh Bundela in the popular show ‘Uttaran,’ starring Tina Datta and Rashami Desai. He received a lot of appreciation for the character.

According to Mishra’s wife, Suzanne Bernert, who spoke to PTI, Mishra had blood pressure problems and died from his wounds after the kitchen mishap. Bernert said, “He was on a chair in the kitchen trying to do something when he fell down and hurt his head and back. He was later rushed to the hospital by the family and neighbors. He was still coherent while going to the hospital. And then internal hemorrhage started. Despite the doctor’s best efforts, he could not be saved.”
