Ayushmann’s latest release, “An Action Hero” has been rejected by the audience on its first day, the film will now need a very strong trend on Sat and Sun to put up a respectable weekend on board.
It seems that the dry run for Ayushmann will continue with “An Action Hero”, the movie failed to create any buzz surrounding it. The actor has lost his Midas touch, at one time, he had delivered back-to-back five hits at the box office.
Now, he is on his way to deliver his 4th back to back flop. Going by the current trend, the film will wrap under 10 Cr lifetime becoming another huge disaster for the actor after Anek which had accumulated 8.15 Cr, domestically in its run.

Advance Bookings Report Day 2
“An Action Hero” is estimated to have collected 1.5 Cr on its first day, which is a below-par start for an actor like Ayushmann. It was expected to take a 4-5 Cr start. The film had failed to create a pre-release buzz through its trailer and hence the evident low start.
Following the low buzz for the flick, it is witnessing a dismal trend in the advance bookings. The film clocked in another dull second day in advance, as it minted 35.72L from the ticket sales for day 2 in advance.
Box Office Collection Day 2
Ayushmann Khurrana’s first acton adventure opened with extremely low number Rs 1.31 Crore and there is not growth as per the positive reviews and collected 2.16 Cr on its 2nd day to take the total nett domestic earnings of “An Action Hero” to 3.47 crores. It will collect 6 crores in the first weekend and see it run ending with 8-10 Cr lifetime.
On the other, Drishyam 2 has emerged as the top choice for moviegoers, this weekend as well. The film has outdone the daily earnings of the Friday releases in the northern market.
#AnActionHero gets the much-needed boost/jump on Day 2, but the 2-day total remains extremely low, despite favourable word of mouth… Mass circuits are weak… Needs miraculous turnaround on Day 3… Fri 1.31 cr, Sat 2.16 cr. Total: ₹ 3.47 cr. #India biz. pic.twitter.com/H8sxE1J9gt
