The latest Bollywood release, “An Action Hero” opened with below par start at the box office and so far hasn’t found many takers. The film clocked around 6 Cr on its first weekend which is marginally better than Anek (5.35 crores).
Anek had accumulated 8.15 Cr nett in its lifetime in India, and going by the performance of Ayushmann’s latest release, it will meet the same fate as the former. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat as the main lead, it is directed by Anirudh Iyer and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-series in association with Anand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions.

An Action Hero Box Office (1st Weekend)
An Action Hero emerged as the lowest opener for the actor post-pandemic. The film took a start of 1.31 Cr which is lower than Anek’s opening day of 1.71 Cr, another bomb from Ayushmann. However, “An Action Hero” went on to clock marginally better 1st-weekend than the latter as stated above.
It churned out 5.99 Cr on the opening weekend, which is very low. It seems that the string of flops will continue for the actor Ayushmann Khurrana with his latest release.
Box Office Collection Day 5
The film opened with positive reviews from the critics, however, tanked at the box office on its very first day due to no interest from the audience. After a dismal opening weekend, the trend is stable during the weekdays albeit on the lower side.
The advanced trade estimations suggest, “An Action Hero” accumulates around 90L on its 5th day, taking the total nett domestic biz of the movie in the vicinity of 8 crores. From here, the next target of the film would be to cross the 10 Cr mark and finish its run with a 13-15 Cr lifetime.
