The new Star Wars Original Series Andor is set to return soon. It is the prequel of Star Wars spin-off film Rogue One, which was released in December 2016 and grossed $ 1.056 billion.
The series follows thief-turned-Rebel spy Cassian Andor during the five years of the film (Rogue One). It is created by Tony Gilroy, the Academy Award nominee who is known for creating and directing Michael Clayton, Duplicity and Rogue One.
Andor Star Cast
The series is executive produced by Diego Luna, who is also reprising his role as Caasian Andor from Rogue One. His character is a thief whose homeworld was destroyed by the Empire. The series begins with Andor as a revolution-averse cynic and explores how he becomes the most passionate person who’s going to give himself to save the galaxy in Rogue One.
Genevieve O’Reilly is playing Mon Mothma, a senator who tries to navigate the politics of the Empire while secretly helping to found the Rebel Alliance. Stellan Skarsgard is playing as Luthen, Adria Arjona as Luthen, Adria Arjona as Kleya, Denise Gough as Dedra Meera, Kyle Soller and Fiona Shaw.
Additionally, Forest Whitaker reprises his role as Saw Gerrera, Anton Lesser Appears as an Imperial Officer. Robert Emms, David Hayman, Alex Ferns and Clemens Schick have been cast in undisclosed supporting roles.
Andor OTT Release Date
The makers of the Star Wars original series have finally released the release date of this Star. Out of total 12 episodes, the first 3 will premiere on September 21, 2022 on Disney Plus while the rest of the 9 episodes will be premiered on the weekly basis on the same platform. The 12th and the last episode will be released on November 23, 2022.

Beginning five years before the events of Rogue One film (2016), the series follows an ensemble cast of the characters during the time that a Rebel Alliance is forming in opposition to the Galactic empire. One of these characters is Cassian Andor, a thief who becomes a revolutionary and eventually joins the Rebellion.
The intriguing 2.5-minute long trailer of the series. It shows Cassian bringing the fight to the Empire, spurred on by Stellan Skarsgard’s character, Luthen Rael. Forest Whitaker has returned as the radical rebel Saw Gerrera. Matching his hardline attitude in Rogue One, Saw calls the nascent rebellion a War. Overall, we can say that the series is going to be a treat for all the Star Wars fans.
