Ayushmann was last seen in Kedarnath director Abhishek Kapoor’s Hindi Romantic Comedy Drama Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui opposite Vaani Kapoor, CKA received positive to mixed reviews but Anek failed to leave impress, still people liked the film.

Anek Release Date & OTT
The highly anticipated socio-political drama was to be released on big screens on March 31, 2022, but delayed due to the 3rd Wave.
Earlier, it was scheduled to be released on September 17, 2021, but later the date was canceled for unknown reasons. In Feb 2022, there was theater date announced ’13 May 2022′ but postponed again and the new date is ’27 May’, just a week postponement this time.

The shooting/filming began a year back in January 2021 and wrapped up in March 2021. Most of the part of the film had been filmed in North East India.
During the film’s shoot, Ayushmann used to post pictures from various popular locations of the North East. Audiences rejected this film at Box Office, 8.45 Cr India Nett collection is disastrous result for hit hero now.
Anek Star Cast
Ayushmann Khurrana is going to play the lead role of Joshua. He, many times revealed that it is a character that made him come out of his comfort zone. He further said that the script of the film drove him to give it his all.

Anek Makers
The film is helmed by Director Anubhav Sinha directed movies including Mulk (2018), Article 15 (2019) and Thappad (2020) in the past in which some important social issues were addressed.
Anek is his second collaboration with Ayushmann Khurrana after 2015’s critically acclaimed crime thriller Article 15, which was inspired by multipe true events of gruesome rapes and murders in Uttar Pradesh.
Along with direction, Anubhav Sinha is co-producing the film with Bhushan Kumar under the banners of Benaras Mediaworks and T-Series.
If we talk about technical work, Cinematography work is handled by Ewan Mulligan while editing is done by Yasha Ramchandani.
According to some media claims, this will be a songless movie that will depict the culture of North East India like never before.
