After being premiered in several national and international film events, Kunchako Boban and Divya Prabha starrer Malayalam drama film Ariyippu/Declaration is set to make its way directly to OTT.
The film is directed, written, and co-produced by Mahesh Narayanan, and it is his second collaboration with Boban after the 2017 survival film Take Off, which was a big blockbuster and also won a National Film Award.
Along with Boban and Divya Prabha, the film also stars Danish Hussain, Loveleena Mishra, Faizal Malik, Kannan Arunasalam, Kiran Peethambaran, Sidharth Bhardwaj, and Dimpy Mishra in crucial roles.

The makers of the film have recently dropped the trailer of the film, which gives us a sneak peek at the story. Set in Delhi, amidst the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the film follows a struggling Malayali couple, Hareesh and Reshmi, who work at a medical gloves factory and have a dream to migrate out of the country for a better life.
However, their lives turn upside down when a sensitive and manipulated video is circulated among their co-workers in the factory and unleashes unexpected social, emotional, and marital imbalances in their relationship.
Where & When to Watch?
Produced by Shebin Backer, Boban, and Mahesh Narayanan, the film premiered at the 75th Locarno Film Festival on August 4, 2022, where it was nominated for the Golden Leopard, the top prize at the festival.
Apart from that, it was also a part of the Indian Panorama at the International Film Festival of India 2022, which was recently held in Goa. It has already won critical acclaim for the story, screenplay, direction, and performances of the cast.
Now, the film is streaming on OTT giant Netflix, which has acquired its OTT rights. The film skipped the theatrical release and directly released on Netflix on December 16. The film, originally shot in Malayalam, also has several dialogues in Hindi.
