John’s sci-fi action flick seems to have been rejected by the audience as far as its box office collection is concerned, the film only managed to rake in Rs 11.51 Cr nett at the box office in India, on the opening weekend.
It started off with a very low collection of Rs 3.51 Cr on Friday, accumulating the same amount of footfalls on a further day, it managed to mint Rs 3.75 Cr. John starrer saw growth of 33.33% on Sunday, and collected Rs 4.25 Cr, with a total opening weekend of Rs 11.51 Cr.
The failure of Attack is said to be the RRR and The Kashmir Files Juggernaut which seems to have not let other films run at the box office, the anticipated Hollywood superhero flick Morbius’s BO India collection is not well either.
With the total opening weekend collection of Rs 11.51 Cr of John starrer, it seems there is no anticipation amongst the audience for the film, thereby, the film is en route to becoming the fourth unsuccessful film of John Abraham’s after Pagalpanti, Mumbai Saga, and Satyameva Jayate 2.
Attack only managed to surpass the opening weekend collection of the low-budget films Rajkummar Rao’s Badhaai Do (Rs 7.82 Cr) and Big B starrer Jhund (Rs 5.58 Cr) to becoming the sixth-highest grosser of 2022.
Talking about the box office collection worldwide, the overseas business of John starrer is not good as well, the film only managed to accumulate Rs 3.5 Cr that too in gross figures of three days opening weekend. India’s opening weekend gross is Rs 13.7 Cr, with the total opening weekend gross collection of Attack being Rs 17.2 Cr WW.
