Directed, written and co-produced by James Cameron, 2009 Hollywood blockbuster film Avatar, which won 3 Academy Awards, is set to re-release in India and rest of the world months before the release of its sequel Avatar 2.
An epic science fiction film, the film received highly positive reviews, with critics highly praising its groundbreaking visual effects. During the theater run,the film broke several box-office records and became the highest grossing film at the time in the USA and Canada, surpassing Cameron’s Titanic. It grossed a total of $ 2.847 billion at the worldwide box-office.
The main star cast of the film includes Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, Zoe Saldana as Neytiri and many others, who are also set to return in Avatar 2.
Avatar Re-Release Date in India
The film produced by 20th Century Fox, Lightstorm Entertainment, Dune Entertainment and Ingenious Film Partners, is set to re-release for a limited time in India and rest of the world in remastered 4K High Dynamic range format, on September 23, 2022. it will be available for a two-week limited engagement.

The makers have decided to re-release it three months before its highly-anticipated sequel titled Avatar: The Way of Water or simply, Avatar 2, which is set to release on big screens on December 16, 2022 worldwide. So it is a good opportunity for all the moviegoers who are interested, to experience this masterpiece again on big screens.
Advance Bookings Opened
With just 10 days left to re-release the original film, Avatar, the advance bookings have been commenced for the same. Makers made the announcement, via social media platforms unveiling a close to 20 Sec promo video, check it out, below:

Avatar New Trailer Out
Ahead of its re-release, the new trailer was also released on August 23, 2022. The film is set in the mid 22nd century when humans are colonizing Pandora, a lush habitable moon of a gas giant in the Alpha Centauri star system, in order to mine the valuable mineral unobtainium.
The extension of the mining colony threatens the continued existence of a local tribe of Na’vi which is a humanoid species indigenous to Pandora. The film’s title refers to a genetically engineered Na’vi body operated from the brain of a remotely located human that is used to interact with the natives of Pandora.
