Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar’s most-awaited action comedy film Bachchan Pandey, which is the Hindi remake of Karthik Subbaraj directorial Jigarthada, was released on the big screen on March 18, 2022 during Holi.
Made under the big banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment , Bachchan Pandey, despite opening to mixed response from the critics as well as public, the film managed to hit double digit on the first day.
However, as days are passing, it is becoming very tough for the film to even reach a 5cr after the last three days and it seems The Kashmir Files wave has deeply affected the collection of the film.
While Vivek Agnihotri’s TKF which was made of an estimated budget of Rs. 14 crore, has been bringing the Tsunami at the Box Office since its release, Akki’s Bachchan Pandey, which is made of the budget of more than Rs. 200 crore in now struggling to push the audience to the theaters.
Today on March 24, just after the 13 day of its release, TKF has crossed the Rs. 200 crore mark at the Box Office and easily crossed the lifetime biz of Akshay’s latest release Sooryavanshi and has become highest grossing Hindi film post Covid-19 Era.
Along with Bachchan Pandey, all the biggies such as Hollywood giant Spider Man, Prabhas starrer Radhe Shyam have also been hit by TKF wave.
Bachchan Pandey Box Office Collection
Farhad Samji directorial’s mass entertainer grossed in double digits for first three days of its release and hence managed to gross more than Rs. 50 crore but Since Monday the movie is witnessing downfall in ticket sales, as the audience is going for TKF instead of Bachchan Pandey.
On Monday it witnessed a massive fall of more than 30% as compared to the opening weekend, by earning just Rs. 4-5 Crore. Similarly, on Tuesday (Day 5) and Wednesday (Day 6) it managed to fetch Rs. 7-8 Crore (total).
On Day 6 (Wednesday), the collection fell even more than all the previous days, and the film fetched only 2-3 crore which is very low for the movie, which is made under three digits and is being released on 2800 to 2900 screens.
