OTT has gained a lot of popularity in India and it has become the new norm of the digital era. Seeing the craze of OTT content in the country, the makers are coming up with more and more web shows with unique concepts.
The digital revolution has opened the door for several new platforms for the entertainment-loving audience to enjoy web-shows. During COVID-19, when the entire world was under strict lockdown, OTT was the only medium to watch the movies or shows.
This change also came as a perfect opportunity for the underrated filmmakers to offer something different to viewers. Web-shows like Sacred Games, Mirzapur, and Patal Lok, etc., have changed the dynamics and received critical acclaim from the public as well as critics.
Crime thrillers are the most loved genre when it comes to web-shows. Meanwhile, another crime thriller has been announced today, titled Balu Ghat.
Balu Ghat Cast & Crew
Bal Ghat, the new crime thriller series has been announced with a tagline “Yachna Nahi, Ab Ran Hoga”. It is going to be directed by Manish Singh, who made his directorial debut with film “Varchasva”, which stars actors Ravi Kishan and Akshay Oberoi in the lead roles.
Singh also worked as an assistant director in movies like Fredrick and Love Scope as well as in 2016 comedy series Indian fiction sitcom television series “Woh Teri Bhabhi Hai Pagle”. The star cast of the series hasn’t been announced yet.
About the Series
The series, produced and presented by Hussain Kurji under his banner Kurji Production, explores an unstoppable war of blood beside the banks of the Sone and Ganga rivers. Its shooting will begin in the month of January next year.
Baju Ghat is the second collaboration between the director-producer duo after Varchasva, which was based on coal, mafia and supremacy. THe film has an IMDb rating of 9.1 out of 10.
