Thalapathy 65 after raking in over Rs 50 Cr in two days from the home market now seeing the impact of the negative word of mouth at its box office collection.
The weekday release film despite receiving negative reviews managed to become the highest opening day grosser film in Tamil Nadu, with a collection of over Rs 35 Cr.
On day 2 the magic of Thalapathy remains intact by crossing the Rs 100 Cr mark, now it seems the action-comedy begins to feel the effect of negative word of mouth in its BOC.
Two things went wrong as far as its BOC is concerned, one is the negative reviews another is releasing the film at the same time knowingly when K.G.F 2 storm will arrive the next day.
K.G.F seems severely injured the business of Beast, as per some reports, exhibitors are giving the priority to Yash starrer even in the home market, leave alone the rest of the country.
Nelson’s directorial collected around Rs 14 Cr from the home market on Friday and Rs 24.05 Cr gross at the box office worldwide. Check out the day-wise collection below.
As per the reports, Beast has performed very low on day 3 in Hindi, minted only Rs 15 Lakhs, while it churned out Rs 1.41 Cr from Chennai alone.

Nelson wrote and directed the film and produced it by Sun Network’s Kalannithi Maran under his banner Sun Pictures, It stars Vijay, Pooja, Selvaraghavan, Shine Tom Chacko, Yogi Babu in key roles. Anirudh Ravichander’s music is getting praised by the fans and the cinephiles, the cinematographer is Manoj Paramahansa and R.Nirmal was on board for the editing.
