Beast is the 65th film of the Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay, it is an action-comedy, helmed and written by Nelson Dilipkumar (Doctor, Kolamaavu Kokila).
Vijay is in the role of a spy in the film playing Veera Raghavan, the flick is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures.
Thalapathy 65th had already created a huge buzz among the cine-goers, the fact is the proof that the film still holds the 5th ranking in the online database of information portal IMDb’s most anticipated Indian movies of the year 2022, the film had the ratings 8.5/10 earlier now comes down to 6.9, after the release.
OTT Release Date
As we have informed you earlier that Beast will be premiered on the digital platforms after a 4-week theatrical run given the poor reviews received by the film which also resulted in low box office collections.
It is now all set to release on the streaming platform Sun NXT in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu as the platform provides content in these languages, the Hindi version (RAW) of the film will premiere on Netflix including other south Indian languages.

Digital & Satellite Rights
Thalapathy 65, releases in theatres on 13 April 2022, despite the huge buzz, the film opened with negative reviews from the critics, they bashed the lack of writing and the poor script of the film praising the comical scenes, action sequences, and the performance of Vijay.
Talking about the digital and tv premiere, the post-theatrical digital rights of the film are acquired by the OTT platforms Sun NXT and Netflix.
And the satellite rights are said to be bagged by the Sun TV Network which is the subsidiary company of the Beast producer Sun Pictures.
TV Premiere Date
The film could be premiered on the small screens after 8 week theatrical run, as earlier the films like Doctor, Annathee, Love Story, Republic, etc were also released after 8 week theatrical stay. It is still unclear who acquired the Hindi rights.

Non-Theatrical Business
Despite low collections at the box office, Vijay starrer managed to accumulate more than its budget by selling the total rights worth Rs 244 Cr, Rs 94 Cr more than the budget.
Star Cast of Beast
Along with Vijay, Pooja Hegde is playing the lead actress opposite Vijay, Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Bjorn Surrao, VTV Ganesh, Shaji Chen, Aparna Das, Shine Tom Chacko, Lilliput Faruqui, and Ankur Ajit Vikal will be seen in the pivotal roles.
On the technical front, Anirudh Ravichander given the music in the film, his two songs, Arabic Kuthu and Johnny Gymkhana have already hit the charts, Manoj Paramhamsa cranked the camera and the editing is done by R. Nirmal.
