Thalapathy Vijay starrer action thriller gracing the silver screens on April 13 (Wednesday), Vijay essaying a spy role in the same. The film will mark the third directorial of Nelson Dilipkumar.
His earlier two films Kolamaavu Kokila and Doctor were considered superhits at the box office, the pandemic release film Doctor starring Sivakarthikeyan collected Rs 100 Cr worldwide, and critics & audience praised the story, screenplay, and the BGM in the film.
Now, the Thalapathy starrer songs are already hit, especially the song Arabic Kuthu composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the lyrical video of the song has been viewed over 27 Cr times on YouTube so far.
Advance Bookings
The craze among the fans and the south cinephiles for the film can be seen in the trailers of the film which is well received by the viewers. The advance bookings have been recently opened and in the home market Chennai & the response is phenomenal, half of the shows were almost full within 24 hrs of the opening of the bookings.

Vijay starrer is showing amazing response at the box office south, especially in the home market Chennai, even before the release of the film, Beast has started breaking records.
As per the reports, the film has recently crossed the lifetime biz of Valimai in the U.S and Australia, by raking over $420K (INR 3.19 Cr approx) and $225K (INR 1.7 Cr approx) respectively, as compared to Ajith starrer $408K (INR 3.09 Cr approx) & $207K (INR 1.57 Cr approx).
RAW (Beast) Release Date
Beast will be gracing the cinemas in four languages Tamil and dubbed versions Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, the Hindi version title is RAW. The advance bookings for the Hindi version are yet to be opened as it is still unclear whether the film will be released on April 13 or 14.
Screen Count
Talking about the screen counts, reportedly RAW(Beast) will release around 600 to 700 screens in the northern belt, the distributors for the Hindi belt are UFO Moviez. Going by the trend beast will release overall around 6500 screens worldwide.
Reports suggest that Beast will be screened in over 800 theatres in the home market, while K.G.F2 being the second priority of the distributors will be screened in 250 theatres.
Thalapathy starrer might face stiff competition in the North as it will be clashing with K.G.F2 and Bollywood biggie Jersey, also makers haven’t promoted the film in Hindi that much barring a few promo videos and trailer.
Box Office Collection
Therefore, it might get the opening of around Rs 2-3 Cr, further only strong word of mouth can pull the audience to the cinema halls. However, anything could happen as Allu starrer Pushpa didn’t see the promotion still wreaked havoc in the northern belt.
As far as the box office in Tamil Nadu is concerned where Thalapathy Vijay is a huge draw, the film will accumulate from the home market most, a gross figure of over Rs 30 Cr at least is expected at the BO Tamil Nadu.
As per the early prediction, Thalapathy starrer has the capability to gross big, thereby we can say the film will earn over Rs 40 Cr gross on day 1 worldwide, though as far as South Indian moviegoers are concerned the film can earn much higher than expected.
And not to forget that Vijay’s last film Master was the first pandemic hit and went on to become number 8 in the list of highest-grossing Tamil films ever at the box office.
