Director Nelson Dilipkumar whose recently release Doctor starring Sivakarthikeyan is among the top 3 Tamil films Box Office Grosser of the year, the film got a wide appreciation for the direction and the storyline both were done by Nelson, it made the business of ₹ 100 crores in just 25 days.
After Doctor’s success, Nelson is all geared up for his next black comedy action thriller ‘Beast’ with the Tamil cinema superstar Thalapathy Vijay. The storyline follows The Terrorists holding Indian citizens hostages. Vijay will be in a beast mode in the film.
Remuneration
30 % of the shooting took place in Georgia and remained in Chennai, Tamilnadu. Reportedly Beast is the first film, to shoot film with a Red-V raptor camera, for the high-resolution fighting sequences.
Pooja Hegde and Vijay got ₹ 3.5 crores and ₹ 70 crore remuneration, Vijay earlier was to get Apparently ₹ 100 crores as remuneration but the actor waive off 30% of his salary owing to financial problems ’cause of Covid.

Beast Release Date & Reviews
Beast has been released on 13th April, a day ahead of KGF Chapter 2 storm at Box Office, early reviews are mixed to positive, means tough competition at Box Office, only Vijay fans can save this film as per the reviews.

Apart from directing Nelson Dilipkumar also wrote the screenplay of the film, It is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under his banner Sun Pictures, Doctor(2021) Fame Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music in the film. It is Edited and Cinematographed by R. Nirmal and Manoj Paramhansa respectively.
