Amar Kaushik’s film “Bhediya” opened with positive reviews from the critics however, it is performing below par with trade expectations at the box office. Although the biz of Varun starrer is on the lower side, it has surpassed the lifetime of biggies like Doctor G, Heropanti 2, Jersey, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Attack-part 1, Anek and Rashtra Kavach-OM on its 1st weekend itself.
After taking a below-par start, it jumped well on Sat and picked up the pace, it showed another 20% jump on Sun (day 3) taking the 1st-weekend earnings to 28.56 Cr.
As per the trade analysts, Drishyam 2 has dampened its biz, the latter film has completed the 10-day run and still emerged as the top choice for moviegoers on the weekend.

Box Office Collection Day 4
The film needs to perform very well on the weekdays, the rock-solid trend on weekdays will only help the film from bombing at the box office. Now, going by the reports, it stays stable on its first Mon.
It earned around 5 Cr nett (dropped by 56%) on the first Mon (day 4) taking the total domestic earnings of the movie in the vicinity of 34 crores.
Eying 50 Cr on 1st Week
Varun’s film will next target the 50 Cr mark in its first week which, if remains stable through the weekdays, is possible to achieve. It will then head for a respectable lifetime. Varun’s last film Jugjugg Jeeyo was an average affair, it is remained to be seen where the Bhediya final collections land.
