Bollywood’s one of the promising filmmaker Anubhav Sinha’s new project titled Bheed, a socio-political drama film has been released in theatres. The story of the film is also written by Sinha, known for delivering movies such as Tum Bin, Mulk, Thappad, Tum Bin 2 etc.
The film marks the third collaboration between Sinha’s production house Benaras Media Works and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series after Taapsee starrer Thappad and recently-released Anek, in which Ayushmann Khurrana is in the lead role. It was shot across Lucknow.
Bheed Star Cast
The film stars talented actor of Bollywood Rajkummar Rao in the lead role and opposite him, Bhumi Pednekar has been roped in as the female lead. Rajkummar Rao’s most recent film is action thriller film HIT: The First Case, which is the remake of 2020 Telugu film of the same name.
On the other side, Bhumi’s recent release is family entertainer Rakshabandhan, which was released on August 11, 2022, on the occasion of Rakshabandhan festival and it is receiving a mixed response from the public.
Bheed marks the second collaboration between Bhumi and Rajkummar Rao after the comedy drama film Badhaai Do. Apart from these stars, it also features Veteran actor Ashutosh Rama, Pankaj Kapoor, Dia Mirza and others.
Bheed Release Date & Reviews
The film has been released in cinemas on 24 March 2023 and is receiving rave reviews from critics, mostly. Underrated movie of 2022, Badhaai Do pair Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao shining on screen again. It also received praise for the screenplay and direction.
Bheed Box Office Collection
‘Bheed’ reveals the story of 2020 (Lockdown period), and shows a comparison between 1947 and 2020. Despite getting positive reviews from critics, Bheed took a low opening. It earned only Rs 50 L on the first day.
Bheed has only one week to perform at Box Office, as another big starrer movie Bholaa to release on March 30.

The film revolves around lockdown real stories and the tough phase, when the director talked about the film, stated that it has a subject that he has built from a nagging thought in his mind.
