Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has made several box office records on the very first day of its arrival on the big screens. Another side much-hyped female centric action film Dhaakad collapsed in front of this horror-comedy.
- BB2 has become the highest grosser Hindi film on opening day this year (Rs 14 Cr+) if talk about Bollywood only, by beating Akki’s Bachchan Paandey’s Rs 13.25 Cr nett.
- It also becomes the highest opening day film for Kartik by breaking the record of his Love Aaj Kal’s first-day collection of Rs 12 Cr.
- With the opening day collection, it becomes 2nd film for Kartik which collected more than Rs 10 Cr, after Love Aaj Kal in nett collections.
- Kartik starrer also becomes the highest non-holiday opening day film (2022) beating Alia’s Gangubai Kathiawadi’s Rs 10.50 Cr nett.
With this Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has revived the Industry back into the business, which has been witnessing a series of flops after The Kashmir Files. The film becomes more crucial as the earlier two hit films Gangubai and Kashmir Files were nonconventional films.
The film is said to be earned more from the multiplexes than single screens on the first day, and it is expected to show a jump on Saturday. Single screen audience is yet to arrive at the cinema halls, it is expected that the film will show a major boost on Sunday in mass pockets as the word of mouth will arrive in full till then.
Now, talking about day 2, Tabu, Katrik and Kiara’s show emerges the talk in town, it saw a big jump amount on Saturday too or could show a slight growth on Sunday, it can cross the range of Rs 20 to 22 Cr** on Sunday after Sat (18.34). Taking the total two days collections to over Rs 32 crores**.

The film locked horns with Kangana’s Dhaakad and beat the latter by a huge margin, which managed to accumulate only around Rs 50 lakhs on day 1. It is expected that Kartik’s film to enjoy a huge weekend of over Rs 55 Cr, let’s see if it happens or not, but one thing is for sure the film has ended the drought of long-pending double-digit first-day figures.
