It has been over a month since Kartik Aryan’s highest-grossing film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 hit the theatres, the film is still reigning supreme at the box office north owing to the no competition.
The horror-comedy was opened to rave reviews from the critics and had emerged as the highest-grosser opener (Rs 14.11 Cr) for the actor.
Prior to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Bollywood had seen a series of flops like Attack, Bachchan Paandey, Jersey, and Runway 34, all the stars featured in these flicks have already made their names and held the superstar status but still failed to attract the audience.
Meanwhile, the young actor Kartik Aryan’s film succeeded to charm the theatre-goers and outperformed all the other biggie releases in Hindi cinema.
6th Highest weekend-5 grosser all-time
The film so far has earned Rs 182.58 Cr nett in India and Rs 259.97 Cr gross worldwide. The film had an excellent 5th weekend of Rs 5.68 crores where it emerged at the 6th spot in highest 5weekend grosser of all time.
Box Office Collection Day 33
After enjoying an exceptional run at the box office, the film has now been made available on the digital platform on Sunday (June 19) by the makers. The film will now woo the box office and trend on the OTT platform simultaneously like Allu Arjun’s Pushpa.
Going by the trends, despite its premiere on the OTT platform, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will remain consistent at the BO but on the lower side as the film on Monday had earned 0.76 Cr which is not much lower than the last Friday’s collections (Rs 1.15 Cr).
However, the job has been done for the flick, whatever it earns will be a bonus. The next target for BB2 would be to cross the Rs 190 Cr mark. As per the early reports, it earn Rs 0.66 Cr on Tue (Day 33), the total collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 now stands at Rs 183.2 crores.
It could see a drop in the collections from June 24 as the Varun Dhawan’s anticipated film Jugjugg Jeeyo is gearing to arrive at the cinema on the upcoming Friday. Below is the list of the highest-grossing fifth-weekend film of all time.
