India’s most popular and controversial reality show, Bigg Boss, launches its most-awaited 16th season on October 1 on Colors TV. The title of the new show is “Big Boss: Game Badlega, Kyunki Bigg Boss Khud Khelga!”.

Based on the Dutch reality game show Big Brother, Bigg Boss was the first of its kind in our country. Over the years, the show has witnessed lots of drama and controversies, which is why it keeps the viewers engaged.

The popularity of Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who has been hosting the show continuously since its 9th season, is one of the big reasons behind the show’s success. Like the previous seasons, this season also features some of the most popular names in the entertainment industry as the contestants.

The Bigg Boss house of this season has a “circus theme,” and it is located in Goregaon, for the fourth time in Bigg Boss history. This season has four bedrooms, which are referred to as the “Fire Room,” “Black and White Room,” “Cards Room,” & Vintage Room,” and a jacuzzi for the captain for the first time in the history of Bigg Boss.

1- Archana Gautam

Archana is a congress leader and popular TV actress. She is the titled holder of Miss Bikini India 2018 and joined Indian National Congress in November 2021 and got ticket from Hastinapur (Assembly Constituency) for 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Elections.

She was ejected for her physical violence with Shiva Thakre on Day 40 but re-entered on high demand.

2- MC Stan

Another Bigg Boss 16 contestant is popular rapper MC Stan, a.k.a. Altaf Tadav. From rap battles to controversy with his ex, Auzma Shaikh, MC Stan made it a popular show on BB16. He is from Mumbai.

3- Priyanka Chahar Choudhary

Model and actress Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is a popular face in the entertainment industry. She was seen in many Punjabi videos, including “Online” by Babbu Mann, “Mai Bewafa” by Ishan Kouran, and “Hanju” by Robin Sidhu.

She came to limelight playing there of Tejo Sandhu in Colors TV’s popular show Udaariyaan in 2021. She came into Bigg Boss with her boyfriend, Ankit Gupta, who has been eliminated from the show.

4- Shalin Bhanot

TV actor Shalin is well-known for his role as Keshav in Zee TV’s Naagin- Waadon Ki Agniparikshaa. In 2004, he also appeared on MTV Roadies. He also participated in Nach Baliye Season 4 with his ex-wife, Dalljiet Kaur, and emerged as the winner.

5- Shiv Thakare

Marathi actor and choreographer Shiva Thakare is the winner of Bigg Boss Marathi Season 2. He has also won the reality show The Anti-Social Network. He was a contestant on MTV Roadies Rising in 2017. Apart from that, he also appeared in the music videos “Kasa Chandra” and “Sheelavati.”

6- Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia

Model and TV actress , who rose to fame with Colors TV’s popular daily soap opera Choti Sardaarni, is another contestant on Bigg Boss 16. The actress played Meher in Choti Sardaarni and became a household name.

7- Sumbul Touqeer Khan

Sumbul Touqeer Khan, best known for her role as Imlie Aryan Singh Rathore in Star Plus’ popular show Imlie, is another Bigg Boss Season 16 contestant.She has also approved the historical television drama Chandragupta Maurya and Article 15.

8- Tina Datta

Tina Datta, best known for playing Meethi in Colors TV’s popular show Uttaran, is one of the popular contestants of Bigg Boss Season 26. Earlier, she also participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 7. It will be interesting to see if she is going to be part of the show or not.

9- Manya Singh

Manya Singh is a popular Indian model, who ended up as the runner-up in Femina Miss India 2020. She graduated from Mumbai’s Thakur College of Science and Commerce. The success story of this Mumbai auto rickshaw driver’s daughter was widely publicised in Indian media.

10- Gori Nagori

Gori Nagori is a Rajasthani social media star, stage performer, and popular dancer, known for her hot dance moves and stage performances. She rose to fame with her dance in popular Rajasthani song “Le Photo Le.” She was evicted on the 42nd day of Bigg Boss 16.

11- Gautam Vig

Actor Gautam Vig, who rose to fame playing Surya Seth in Star Plus’ popular show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2. He has been part of many TV series in his six-year TV career and was evicted on the 48th day from the house of Bigg Boss Season 16.

12- Ankit Gupta

Ankit Gupta entered Bigg Boss Season 16 with his girlfriend and Uddariyan co-star, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. While he was evicted on the 84th day, Priyanka is still in the competition to win the Bigg Boss 16 title.

Ankit has a huge fan base, and his fans call him and Priyanka Priyankit. He has also appeared in Kundali Bhagya, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, and Begusarai.

13- Vikkas Manaktala

Vikas Manaktala was the one and only wild card entrant in Bigg Boss 16 so far and got evicted on the 90th day. He is known for portraying Cadet Amar Huda in Left Right Left and Gangadhar Rao in Jhansi Ki Rani.

14- Abdu Rozik

The first contestant introduced by host Salman Khan in Bigg Boss 16 was Tajik singer, influencer, and musician Abdu Rozik, who gained immense popularity through his entertaining videos on social media.

Abdu is the most popular contestant this season, as fans love him so much for his innocence, but he left the show midway as he got an opportunity to work on an international project. He is back in the BB house after completing his work commitments but walked out again on Day 105.

16- Sajid Khan

Sajid Khan is the brother of famous filmmaker Farah Khan and is known for films such as the Houseful series. He is a controversial film personality who has been accused of several #MeToo cases and sexual harassment by many actresses and models.

His participation in the show was criticised by many people from the industry, including those who were the victims of #MeToo. His entry in the show described a move to whitewash his image.

17- Soundarya Sharma

Soundarya is a model and actress who works in Hindi films. She is known for appearing in the 2017 Hindi film Ranchi Diaries, directed by Sattwik Mohanty. She also appeared in the web series Raktanchal Season 2 and Country Mafia.
