Bigg Boss Tamil, the Tamil version of the reality television program Bigg Boss, is set to return its sixth season after successfully completing the fifth season. It is produced by Endemol Shine India, which is now merged with Banijay.
The first season of the show premiered on June 25, 2017 following the second season in June 2018 whereas the last season (fourth) premiered in January 2022 and it declared Raju Jeyamohan as its winner.

The official release date locked for the show, catch it from 9th of October 2022 on Vijay Television. The viewers who love to consume content on OTT, can enjoy the show on Disney Hotstar for subscription, at the same time. Disney+Hotstar will have a separate page for the voting process to save their housemates each week, on the Disney+Hotstar app itself.

Kollywood megastar Kamal Haasan, who is basking in the success of his Tamil action thriller film Vikram, which turned out to be a highest grossing Tamil film of the 2022, has officially been roped in as a host of the show for the sixth time. He has been hosting the show since its beginning, Tamil star Silambarasan TR hosted last season for few months.

The show’s organizers officially released the teaser on the 5th September 2022 and once again it features Kamal Haasan as the host of the show. The second teaser of the show was released on Saturday, September 10, 2022 and it shows the superstar entering a haunting place, he says “Veedunu onnu irundha, pottinu onnu irukum”, which means “When there is a house, there will be a competition”.

However, the makers of the show haven’t revealed the details about contestants who are set to participate in the show. However, it is reported that unlike the previous seasons where the television channel selects particular common housemates, this season features the public along with the celebrities as housemates without the channel picking commoner contestants.
