DC’s latest offering Black Adam has graced Indian cinemas after performing decently in the advance bookings. It has been released in India one day prior to the home market.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra who also directed the Jungle Cruise starring Dwayne Johnson himself. Dwayne Johnson playing the titular role along with him Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintesa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui and Pierce Brosnan will be seen in the key roles.
Hollywood superhero films perform really well in India especially when it has a big banner name behind them, this year’s releases, Doctor Strange 2 and Thor: Love and Thunder went to accumulate over 100 crores and emerged as super-hit here.

Black Adam Advance Bookings Day 1
Black Adam draws in 1.92 crore from the overall ticket sales in India for the first day. Of which 1.1Cr+ alone came from English in 2D and IMAX 2D formats, followed by Hindi (55L+), Telugu (11L+) and Tamil (6L+).
It touched 90000 ticket sales for the opening day which will be considered decent given there is not much buzz for the flick in India and the full fledge bookings were opened a few days before the release.
Box Office Collection Day 1
The good thing about The Rock starrer is, that it is released without competition in India on first day. However, it faces a clash tomorrow with Sardar, Prince, and Ginna in the down south which is a big market for a Hollywood film. The word of mouth is also Lukewarm for the Dwayne starrer on top of it facing a clash could hamper its numbers.
Now, as per the early trade reports, it takes upwards of 6 crores start at the box office in India. National chains contributed the most (Rs 4 Cr). The trend over the weekend will decide the fate of the movie.
