Dwayne Johnson’s highly anticipated superhero film “Black Adam” is gracing the Indian theatres on Oct 20, one day ahead of the domestic market. It will release in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
It is directed by Jame Collet-Serra and produced by Beau Flynn, Dwayne, Hiram Garcia and Dany Garcia under the banner New Line Cinema, DC Films, Seven Bucks Productions and FlynnPictureCo.
This year we saw the hollywood flicks wreaking havoc at the box office in India especially Jurassic: World Dominion, Doctor Strange2, and Thor: Love and Thunder. The latter two infact minted over 100 crores at the Indian box office. Here, we are discussing Dwayne starrer “Black Adam” box office performance prediction in India.

Black Adam Advance Bookings
Advance Bookings of Black Adam has recently been opened in India, And as of Tue noon, Black Adam has sold 35000 tickets in the three main properties–PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis–worth 85L Gross.
Talking about the overall ticket bookings, it clocked in 1.16 Cr from the tickets sales from all quarters, by selling more than 53500 tickets, as of Oct 18 at 10:00 pm. It is expected to clock in over 75000 tickets by Wed night at the three mulitplex chains.
Black Adam Will Face Clash from all Quarters
Even though, Dwayne Johnsson is a big name in India alongside Tom Cruise in terms of popularity, it will be competing with the biggies like Ram Setu, Thank God, Padavettu, Sardar and Prince from all quarters in the diwali week. Hence, the box office clutters may impact the numbers.
Having said that, it will be interesting to watch who emerges as the box office winner in this multi clash battle, this diwali.

Box Office Prediction
Black Adam will be out in India on Oct 20. And despite not so impressive trailer, it is expected to occupy 1500-2000 screens in India given the popularity of the Dwayne Johnson aka the Rock, here.
The superhero film is said to be made on a budget of $180M (US 1500 Cr). The Rock’s previous two theatrical releases Jumanji and Jungle Cruise got mixed reviews from audiences, while Jumanji clocked in over 63 crores in the entire run, the pandemic release Jungle Cruise tanked in India, the latter accumulated below 5 crores lifetime.
Now, going by the advance trends, it looks like Black Adam will see a start of 5-8 crore at the box office in India.
