The highly anticipated MCU outing “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” or “Black Panther 2” has finally graced the cinemas worldwide. And the trade reports suggest that it has taken a big start in India.
It has been released in India in four languages English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The duration of the movie is 2hr 44mins or 164minutes. The prequel starring Chadwick Boseman had collected a sum of 52.53 Cr from India and was considered a hit.
Now the sequel Wakanda Forever is expected to rake in double in its run than the first film in the Black Panther series.

Box Office Collection Day 1
As per the reports, it has amassed a good amount from the spot bookings considering the huge fan following of Marvel films, here. As per the trade estimations, Black Panther 2 takes a start of 12.50 Cr at the box office in India.
It has surpassed the Jurassic: World Dominion day 1 (Rs. 8 cr) total to become the 3rd highest-grosser opener of 2022 in India. It has performed above expectations at the box office, however, the opening is not on par with previous Marvel releases.
Moreover, the top 3 highest day 1 Gosser of 2022 are the marvel movies, all thanks to the huge fan following of MCU in India.

Black Panther 2 Budget and Screen Counts
Black Panther 2 is said to be made on a budget of $150M (INR 1250 crores approx). As per the reports, it has occupied around 2500 screens in India similar to Thor 4. However, it failed to a record-breaking start like the latter in India.
Only two Hollywood films that went past the 100 crore nett mark this year belong to marvel, Doctor Strange 2 and Thor 4. And now all eyes will be on Wakanda Forever.

Black Panther 2 Advance Bookings
The film recorded around 1.60 lakhs of ticket sales for the opening day. It has clocked in a little below 5 Cr from the pre-sales, which is far lower than the Thor 4 day 1 booking but higher than many Bollywood biggies.
