Black Panther 2 Box Office

MCU’s latest release “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” after a very good 40 Cr+ opening weekend, has now crossed the 50 Cr mark at the Indian box office. It has become a trend for Marvel films to gross big in India.

Marvel’s past releases like Spiderman: No Way Home, Doctor Strange 2 and Thor 4 minted over 100 crores in India with the former most going past the 200 crore mark.

However, it might not end up its run like the said films in India. From here, it looks like, Black Panther 2 would finish with 75-80 Cr lifetime which is a very good number given it has no popular names like Chris Hemsworth and Tom Holland. And also the buzz for the flick is way less than the aforementioned films had at their time.

Black Panther 2 to cross 50 Cr in India

The film saw a wide release in India and opened with double-digit figures here. It showed a growth of over 11% on Sat and was stable on Sun taking its total first-week collections over 40 crores.

It minted 4.55 Cr on its first Monday with a huge around 70% drop. However, it is expected to show a stable trend on the weekdays as other Hollywood release performs in India after a big Monday drop.

Box Office Collection Day 5

Wakanda Forever has clocked in 88.51L from the advance bookings for day 5. And now the reports suggest that the flick has remained stable on Tue as well. As per the trade estimations, Black Panther 2 collected 3.8-4 Cr on its first Tuesday taking the total India collections to over 50 crores nett.

From here, it will be difficult for the film to enter the 100 crore club considering the weekend figures are not on par with previous Marvel releases. And with a big release like Drishyam2, every Friday will make its task more difficult. It will have to show a strong trend on the weekdays and then a big jump on Sundays.

That said, Black Panther 2 has done good business given the current situation over here. Post-Brahmastra there is again a drought of hits at the box office. With over 50 crore figures coming in, exhibitors would be breathing a sigh of relief in India.
