Taapsee Pannu is one of Bollywood’s most promising actors, always taking on unique and challenging roles. The actress, who has gained a huge fan following with her acting talent, has now turned producer with her banner, Outsiders Films, for her upcoming movie Blurr.
Touted-to-be a horror thriller film, Blurr is the official Hindi remake of the 2010 Spanish film Julia’s Eyes. It is the second time Taapse is working on a Spanish remake after Sujoy Ghosh’s film Badlaa, which is a remake of the Spanish mystery thriller The Invisible Guest, directed by Oriol Paulo.
Interestingly, Oriol Paulo also has a “Blurr” connection, as he is the one who wrote the original Spanish film Julia’s Eyes. It is directed by Ajay Bahl, known for his work in movies like Section 375 and B.A. Pass.
Blurr Motion Poster & Release Date
Blurr is creating a lot of buzz on social media, especially after the release of its motion poster. It the poster we see a seemingly scared Taapsee looking at the camera as another Taapsee appeared in front of her. As their faces get blurry, the former Taapsee is seen losing her eyesight.
Sharing the motion poster, Taapsee wrote the caption, “There’s always more than what meets the eye!” Along with that, she also announced the release date of the film, which is now ready and will go straight to the digital platform, Zee5, on December 9, 2022.

Blurr Star Cast
Along with Taapsee, who is playing the female lead, Gayatri, the film also stars Gulshan Devaiah, known for his roles in Shaitan, Hate Story, and Hunterrr, and Kritika Desai Khan of Article 375 fame in key roles.
About the Film
Written by Ajay Bahl and Pawn Sony, the plot of the film revolves around a woman named Gayatri, her struggle, and how she fights back to overcome her ordeal. It shows how Gayatri ended up losing her eye sight while trying to investigate the death of her twin sister.
This is the first time Taapsee has played a double role in any movie. The film is produced by Vishal Rana, Taapsee, Pranjal Khandhoiya, Tony DSouza, Pradeep Sharma, and Manav Durga, whereas Param Gill and Kabir Lal are serving as the executive producers for the film.
