Late. actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s debut film Kai Po Che showed that he was not only a good actor but Cricketer as well, did the MS Dhoni Biopic film later in 2016. Abhishek Kapoor Directed this film revolves around three friends who run a cricket academy, Rajkummar Rao and Amit Sadh along with Sushant in key roles.

Sachin: A Billion Dreams is a documentary film on India’s greatest cricket player directed by James Erskine. His countless fans made this film a huge hit in Indian and overseas. A Documentary film first time collected money at Box Office, this is the craze of Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar who was also called the God of Cricket because of his unbreakable records in his International career.
18- M.S. Dhoni-The Untold Story (2016)

This is a biographical film based on the life of Indian Cricket Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The film shows the struggles faced by this small-town lad to become a member of team India. How this ticket collector would become Indian Captain and eventually led the team to win the World Cup 2 times for the country.
17- Azhar (2016)

Azhar is another biopic on former Indian Cricket Captain Mohammad Azharuddin, which also put another benchmark for Bollywood cricket-related movies. The film shows the time when the cricket match-fixing scandal brings a thunderstorm to the Indian Cricket Board in 1999 when Azhar was banned by the judiciary later.
16- Ferrari Ki Sawaari (2012)

Ferrari Ki Sawaari is a comedy sports drama that revolves around a little boy Kayo, who is cricket enthusiastic and only plays cricket. His father (Sharman Joshi), who is a middle-class employee, supports his son in every possible aspect to fulfill his dream of playing at Lord’s Cricket ground. In between, Sachin Tendulkar owned Ferrari plays a very important part in his dream.
15- Patiala House (2011)

This is a family drama in which Gurtej Kahlon (Rishi Kapoor), who lives with his family in London hates English as he was assaulted by a group of Britons to get away from there. His son Gattu (Akshay Kumar) is a talented cricketer and was selected for England National team despite his father’s will. This film also includes a number of Cricketers like Pollard, Bret Lee, and Symonds.
14- World Cup 2011 (2009)

The film revolves around Ravi (Ravi Kapoor), captain of the Indian team, caught in fixing to receive money from a bookie to lose the 2007 World Cup Final against Pakistan. Ravi, along with the entire team loses their place on the side and was banned for four years. They are slammed by their families, friends, and close ones. They lost almost everything before the selection committee on Ravi’s insistence brings back the team for the World Cup 2011. They won it finally and bring back the glory.
13- Dil Bole Hadipaa (2009)

Dil Bole Hadipaa is a romantic drama set in the backdrop of Cricket. Veera Kaur (Rani Mukherjee) is an aspiring Cricketer and wants to become a champion cricketer. Rohan (Shahid Kapoor) conducts a trial session for the selection and Veera got selected but the rest is a disaster as Veera has to play dual characters. Lots of mess up in the middle but ends in a smoother way.
12- Victory (2009)

This is the single Cricket movie to date that includes as many former and current cricketers as Allan Border, Tony Greig, Mohinder Amarnath, Mike Hussey, Smith, and many more. Vijay Shekhawat (Harman Baweja) gets the chance to play for India but due to his undisciplined life loses his place in the side. Later on with his hard work, he gets back to his place and won matches in the country.
11- Jannat (2008)

Jannat movie is related to cricket gambling. There is a guy Arjun (Emraan Hashmi) who is a small cricket gambler who puts his money into betting and reaches immense heights and becomes rich. Very soon he was caught by the Police. Arjun has to choose between an illegal profession and his lady love Zoya (Sonal Chauhan).
10- Meerabai Not Out (2008)

Meerabai Not Out is the story of Meera (Mandira Bedi) who is a diehard Cricket lover and a big fan of Anil Kumble. She is so obsessed with the game that she makes up late in her own wedding with Dr. Arjun (Eijaz Khan). This makes Arjun’s father (Anupam Kher) impatient. Later on, at the end of the climax, Arjun’s father is forced to ask cricket-related questions to Meera to win a quiz contest.
9- Chain Khuli Ki Main Kulii (2007)

This is another popular Cricket film that revolves around a 13-year-old boy Karan (Zain Khan), who is a cricket enthusiast and a fan of Kapil Dev’s 175 not out in the 1983 World Cup. Luckily he got that bat used by Kapil in that innings and eventually transformed his fortunes and he becomes the youngest cricketer to play for the country. But later on, things get uglier when his bat gets missing just before the final match. There is a lot of drama involved in the film.
8- Hattrick (2007)

Hattrick is the story of four people including ex-cricketer David (Danny Denzongpa), Dr. Satyajit Chavan Hemu Patel, an English immigrant, and Sarabjit Singh (Kunal Kapoor), a cricket lover. There is a debate between these all about whether watching Cricket is a waste of time or not. But in the end, Cricket solves the problems in their respective lives.
7- Say Salaam India (2007)

Say Salaam India is a realistic kind of movie related to school cricket. It is basically a film revolving around a cricket contest between two schools Royal Heritage School and Adarsh Vidya Mandir.
6- Iqbal (2005)

Iqbal is one of the finest cricket films of Bollywood which also gives a motivational message to our society. There is a deaf and dumb boy Iqbal (Shreyas Talpade) who is an aspiring cricketer and wants to be part of the National Cricket Team. Due to his poor financial conditions and an anti-cricketer father he was very upset. Finally, he got the supervision of an ex-cricketer (Naseeruddin Shah) and plays for India later.
5- Stumped (2003)

This was the debut film of Raveena Tandon as a producer. The story of the film is set up when India fights against Pakistan at Kargil, on the other hand, Cricket World Cup was also taking place. The residents of Happy Home society are keen to watch the world cup when their fellow resident Major Raghav Seth goes into the war and missing. Raveena as his wife is helpless as society concentrate on Cricket. Various cricketers including Sachin, Kapil Dev, and Yuvraaj Singh were also part of this film.
4- Lagaan (2001)

Lagaan is without any doubt the benchmark film for Cricket related Movies. It is basically a combo of cricket and patriotism. Set in the British period when high taxes were imposed on poor Indians, the story revolves around a small village and people living there in challenging situations.
An arrogant officer angrily challenges them to have a game of cricket to avoid taxes. Bhuvan (Aamir Khan) accepts this challenge and prepares the villagers to play the match. The match becomes interesting and the Villagers need a six in the last ball to win the match. Bhuvan is on strike and in the end, he hit the ball hard to get out of the ground and eventually wins the match.
3- Awwal Number (1990)

Awwal Number is another cricket film by Dev Anand, a director. He also plays important role in the film which revolves around a new cricket star Sunny (Aamir Khan) included in the team in place of another popular player Ronny (Aditya Pancholi). It created hatred in their mind of Ronny toward Sunny and he decided to take revenge.
2- All Rounder (1984)

All Rounder is the first film made on cricket after the World Cup victory of the Indian Team in 1983. The film is the story of a young cricketer Ajay (Kumar Gaurav), who with the support of his elder brother Birju (Ajay Mehra) makes his place in the Indian Test. Vikram tries everything to take revenge on Ajay by getting him drunk but later on, he gets back to the Indian side with his hard work.
1- Love Marriage (1959)

Love marriage movie is in the first position on our Cricket-related Movies list. Directed by Subodh Mukherji, Love Marriage revolves around a star cricketer Sunil Kumar (Dev Anand) who plays cricket for his home city Jhansi and lives with his brother’s family.
Later on, Sunil moves to Bombay for a job interview and lives in a rented house. He falls in love with the landlord’s daughter (Mala Sinha) and they get married. This film is known for its iconic duet song of Mohammad Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar Dheere Dheere Chal Chand Gagan Mein.
