In 1991, Shahrukh Khan turned to Bollywood, decided to quit Television and signed four Hindi films which all released in 1992 Deewana, Dil Aashna Hai, Chamatkar, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman.

In 1993, he appreciated in his work but was surviving for lead roles, so acted villainous roles in Baazigar (1993), Darr (1993), and nailed these characters for which he received Filmfare awards. In the same year, he failed to hit as a lead in Maya Memsaab (1993), King Uncle (1993).

He appeared in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1994), played a lead role and succeed to get noticed, also received Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor and in the same year acclaimed for a villainous role in Anjaam (1994) but the film failed at Box Office.

1995 brought the first blockbuster Karan Arjun of SRK’s life, and the actor became so popular personality of Bollywood. In the same year, his 7 films were released, after 3 continuous flops, he led all-time blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge DDLJ (1995).
