Shahid Kapoor is regarded as one of the best actor-dancer in Bollywood. He is one of the highest-paid actors of Bollywood too.

The actor is passionate about dance since his childhood, joined Shiamak Davar’s dance academy when he was just 10 years old and then he featured as a background dancer in a few films during his 90’s time and also appeared in television commercials.

He is the son of veteran actor Pankaj Kapur and actress Neelima Azeem, they divorced when Shahid Kapoor was 3 years old. The actor was born on 25 February 1981 in New Delhi, after appearing in several music videos and television commercial advertisements, he decided to pursue a career as an actor.

In 2003, Shahid Kapoor debuted through the coming-of-age romantic film Ishq Vishk. The film received mixed reviews but Shahid Kapoor was acclaimed for his work and the actor received the Filmfare award for Best Male Debut.

He delivered several flops in starting off his career but his popularity among youth and mostly in female fans never faded. The actor who worked continuously in flops like Fida (2004), Dil Maange More (2004), Deewane Huye Paagal (2005), Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! (2005), Shikhar (2005) but succeed to make a place in hearts and was called the chocolaty hero of Bollywood.

After two flop years 2004 and 2005, he played a lead role in 36 China Town (2006) opposite of Kareena Kapoor and the film became a hit, then he appeared in Chup Chup Ke (2006) also received a positive response. In the same year Shahid, who never delivered a super hit film before, played a lead role in Sooraj R. Barjatya‘s family drama and romantic film Vivah (2006) became the blockbuster.

Shahid Kapoor has completed 17 years as an actor in Bollywood while before he worked as a background dancer and model. Jab We Met (2007), Kaminey (2009), R Rajkumar (2013), Haider (2014), Vivah (2006), Udta Punjab (2016), Padmaavat (2018), Kabir Singh (2019) are successful films to the date.

The actor also appreciated his powerful performance in Rangoon (2017) but that film failed at Box Office. Shahid earned his long-due credit as an actor with the 2019 release Kabir Singh. The film went on to become ATBB and Shahid’s performance has been the talk of the town.
