Ranbir-Alia starrer “Brahmastra” has taken a humungous start at the box office given the stupendous response in its advance bookings. Despite, it opened with negative reviews, the film managed to become the Top Day 1 grosser post-pandemic.
The film which was in the making for a long has been mounted on a huge budget. It has finally been released in cinemas in all 5 Indian languages Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada in 2D, 3D and IMAX formats.
Box Office Collection Day 1
Following the excellent advances, it takes a start in the vicinity of 37.5 crores at the box office. With this, It has defeated the opening day collections of the films like RRR, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Sooryavanshi.
RRR(Hindi) Day 1: Rs 20.07 Cr
Sooryavanshi Day 1: Rs 26.29 Cr
Bhool Bhulaiyaa2 Day 1: Rs 14.11 Cr
Not, only this, in fact, Ayan Mukerji’s brainchild has overtaken day 1 of pre-pandemic blockbusters like Sanju (Rs 34.75 Cr), Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs 34.10 Cr), and Dhoom 3 (Rs 36.22 Cr).
With the huge opening the stage has been set for Ranbir starrer, from here, the content and the positive audience word of mouth are what only matters. If it is not there, then it will meet the same fate as the Thugs of Hindostan. The 2018 release film had taken a start of over 50 crores but eventually bombed at the box office.
Ranbir’s film is riding on a huge budget and to recover the distributor’s shares, it needs solid word of mouth to stay for the long run in the theatres to move onward and upward on the box office charts.

#OneWordReview…#Brahmāstra: DISAPPOINTING.
Rating: ⭐⭐#Brahmāstra is a king-sized disappointment… High on VFX, low on content [second half nosedives]… #Brahmāstra could’ve been a game changer, but, alas, it’s a missed opportunity… All gloss, no soul. #BrahmāstraReview pic.twitter.com/5EOKJrtbiY
