Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva, is set to stream on OTT after breaking multiple records on its theatrical run. Despite the boycott calls on social media from a big section of social media users, the film managed to gross around Rs. 431 crore at the box office.
The fantasy action adventure film has made an impressive impact with its unique concept. Directed and written by Ayan Mukerji, the film was officially announced by producer Karan Johar. In the same year, Johar also revealed his plan to make the film into a trilogy.
Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva is the first instalment of the franchise, under the Astraverse—a cinematic universe centred around various mystical Astras.
Brahmastra Tamil & Telugu OTT Release Date
The film was released theatrically on September 9, 2022 by Star Studios in Hindi and dubbed Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions, with Telugu ace-director S.S. Rajamouli presenting the dubbed versions in the latter four South Indian languages.
Now, it is time for the film to grace the OTT platform. The post-theatrical OTT rights of the film have been bagged by Disney+Hotstar at a whopping amount of Rs. 150 crore, and the film is set to have its OTT streaming on November 4, 2022 in Hindi and four South Indian languages, including Tamil and Telugu, as well as Kannada and Malayalam.

Brahmastra Box-Office Reports
The film, made on a huge amount of Rs. 431 crore, took the highest grossing start at the box-office post-pandemic. It witnessed the record-breaking advance sale of tickets among the boycott calls. The film has grossed around Rs. 315-320 crore in India and Rs. 110 crore overseas.
It crossed the Rs. 150 crore mark on its 5th day and entered the Rs. 200 crore club within two weeks of its release. It also had the highest domestic weekend for an original Hindi film and the second highest for a film with a screening in Hindi after Yash starrer K.G.F: Chapter 2.
