Box Office Collection Day 1
The advance bookings of Captain were opened on Sept 5, and following the occupancy report, it was expected to open on a decent note at the box office. Conversely, it garnered only Rs 1.5 Cr+ on Day 1.
The 4-day long weekend strategy has now turned against the movie, as the regular Friday drop will cost it huge. And also it is facing a clash with Kanam which has gotten amazing early reviews from the critics and the audience alike. And not to forget Ranbir’s Brahmastra will take a huge start given the stupendous advances.
It looks like Captain is on the verge of pulling from the theatres within the opening weekend itself, most of its shows will be replaced by the Kanam and Brahmastra on Day 2 onwards.
