Kollywood star Dhanush is set to star in a Tamil period action film titled Caption Miller. It has been said for a long time that Dhanush will soon team up with filmmaker Arun Matheswaran and finally the film has been announced.
Captain Miller will mark the first collaboration between the actor and director duo. Director Arun Matheswaran is known for directing Vasanth Ravi starrer hit Tamil crime action film Rock (2021) and Keerthy Suresh and Selvaraghavan starrer Saani Kaayidham, which released on Amazon Prime Video on May 6 2022 and received highly positive response.
Captain Miller Announcement
The long awaited film was finally announced on Saturday, July 2, 2022 with title as Captain Miller. The makers announced the film through a one -minute long announcement video in which we can hear an intriguing sound of whistle in the background. Dhanush can be seen as a dacoit riding a bike wearing a scarf on his face.

About Captain Miller
Set in the Madras Presidency of the 1930s and 1940s, Captain Miller is a period action drama film in which Dhanush will be playing the title role. The big budget action entertainer is produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under their Sathya Jyothi Films banner.
On the technical front, Shreyas Krishan is cranking the camera for the film, Nagooran is taking care of editing work and GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music and background score of the film.
Meanwhile, Dhaush is awaiting the release of the Russo Brothers’ American action thriller The Gray Man. Apart from the Hollywood project he also has Thiruchitrambalam, Naane Varuven, Vaathi and Sir for release as part of 2022-23 slate. He was last seen in Tamil action thriller Maaran.
Captain Miller Release Date
The historical action entertainer film will go on floors from next month. The Arun Matheswaran directorial is set to be released in the Summer 2023. The official release date of the film is yet to be revealed by its makers.
