Global OTT giant Netflix always comes up with engaging and different content for its viewers. Now Punjabi revenge drama web series titled CAT, which was announced by the streamer in February 2022 in news.
The series is created, written and directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, who served as the writer in 2019 biographical drama film Saand Ki Aankh, 2017 comedy drama Mubarakan, 2021 Punjabi rom-com Puaada etc. He has also directed upcoming Hindi social comedy film Unfair & Lovely.
CAT Season 1 OTT Release Date
The makers of the series revealed its release date with catchy poster on 11 Nov 2022, streaming from ‘9 December 2022‘ on Netflix, available in Punjabi Hindi, English and receiving positive reviews with Randeep Hooda’s performance.

CAT Season 1 Star Cast
The series stars one of the promising actors of Bollywood, Randeep Hooda who often takes the roles that are both challenging and interesting. He has received critical acclaim for movies such as Highway, Sarabjit, Sultan, “Sahib, Biwi and Gangsters” among many more.
CAT is his second collaboration with Netflix after 2020 Hollywood action thriller film Extraction. In the upcoming series he is playing an undercover spy.
Along with Janjua, Rupinder Chahal, Anutej Singh and Jimmy Singh are also serving as the director of the film. It is produced by Janjua and Panchali Chakraverty under the banner of Movie Tunnel Productions and Jelly Bean Entertainment.
Hooda shared the first look of the poster of the series via his Instagram account on the day of its announcement.
CAT Season 1 Trailer
Netflix on September 24, 2022, dropped a 1-minute long teaser of CAT season 1. Set in the backdrop of the Punjab hinterland, it features actor Randeep Hooda in a Sikh avatar sporting a heaving beard and donning turban.
The teaser shows him as an innocent man who is thrown into a deep, drug trafficking conspiracy between gang lords, cops and political powers which led him to be a spy for cops. Overall, CAT has all the elements to appeal to a global audience.
