Chakki is an upcoming comedy drama film which is written and directed by Satish Munda. The film is co-written by Ashwin Verman and presented by Umesh Shukla who is known for directing the acclaimed films like OMG- Oh My God! (2012) and 102 Not Out (2018).
The film is backed by filmmaker Bharat Ninderwal under the banner of his Ninderwal Entertainment in association with Shailaditya Bora’s boutique distribution outfit Platoon Distribution. Satendra Rai is the creative director of the film.

Chakki Star Cast
The film stars Rahul Bhat, who has worked in movies like Ugly, Fitoor, Section 375, is playing the lead roles of a common man Vijay in the film. His most recent release is Taapsee Pannu starrer Dobaaraa.
Bollywood and Marathi actress Priya Bapat is playing his love interest in this comedy entertainer. She is best known for her roles in movies- Kaksparsh and Aamhi Doghi. She is the winner of Maharashtra State Award.
Chakki Trailer Out
The trailer of this comedy drama is out and it follows a common man Vijay, who is running his flour mill business peacefully and having a happy life with his family and girlfriend. His life was all set until he received a hefty electricity bill.
After that begins a frustrating and unfruitful journey to the electricity office where every employee is taking bribes to solve his problem. Vijay tries his best to get the meter checked and repaired or replaced but he just seems to get stuck in the corrupt and dishonest system every time.
All these things happening to him, take a hard toll on Vijay, affecting his personal as well as professional lives. Vijay’s character in the film, is a man who is struggling with the corrupt system.
Chakki Release Date
Along with the trailer of the film, it has also revealed its release date. The comedy entertainer film is set to be released theatrically on October 7, 2022. It will be distributed by Shailaditya Bora’s Platoon Distribution.

Technical Crew
The Satish Munda directorial is filmed by Tribhuvan Babu Sadineni and its editing work is handled by Suresh Pai. The film’s songs are composed by Indian Ocean Band while singers like Papon, Monali Thakur and late singer KK have sung them. The lyrics are penned by veteran writer Piyush Mishra and National Film Award winner writer and stand-up comedian Varun Grover.
