Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor’s romantic drama Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui hit the theatres on Dec 10, 2021, received mixed to positive reviews for it’s refreshing storyline in which Ayushmann played the the role of a cross-functional athlete and Vaani impressed the audience with her transgender character.

CKA stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles. Kedarnath director Abhishek Kapoor directed this film bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar under his production house T-Series with the collaboration of Guy in The Sky Pictures.

Ayushmann Khurrana appeared on the big screens after his 2020 rom-com Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, the actor usually does low-budget films but generates big gross collections from the box office, like Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho, Dream Girl, etc. In fact, the actor has always been impressive in any kind of role.

Talking about Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Box Office collections, the film was released Dec 10, received mixed to positive reviews but audiences didn’t show interest to see this in theatres, received well response on OTT (Netflix) later.

The film collected only Rs 28 Crore India Nett, this time Ayushmann’s low budget film didn’t work at Box Office but the film was in limelight for its subject and social message, everyone praised Ayushmann’s choices and versatility.

Apart from Ayushmann and Vaani other actors Abhishek Bajaj, Kanwaljit Singh, Gourav Sharma, Yograj Singh, Aanjjan Srivastav are also part of the film, the duo Sachin-Jigar has given the music, Chandan Arora is the Editor, and Manoj Lobo handled the cinematography, AA Films was distributor. Supratik Sen and Tushar Paranjpe are screenplay writers.

Like Ayushmann Khurrana’s past few releases, this is also a different and never-told story on screen as the trailer already suggested Vaani Kapoor’s character is transgender in the film.
