The acclaimed Chandramukhi sequel Chandramukhi 2 has finally been released on the OTT Platform. The movie is the sequel to the critically acclaimed film Chandramukhi which features Prabhu, Jyothika, Vadivelu, and Nayanthara in the lead roles.
Even the film Chandramukhi was the Tamil remake of 1993’s superhit Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu, which was remade in many languages, such as Kannada as Apthamitra (2004) and Hindi as Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007).

The makers of Chandramukhi 2 have sold the OTT streaming rights to Netflix. Netflix has released the movie in a variety of languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada so that a wide range of audiences can watch the movie on the platform.

Chandramukhi was released in theaters on September 28, 2023. Now the OTT giant Netflix streaming the movie on the platform. Chandramukhi 2 did an average business at Box Office, just 50 crore Worldwide, and received mixed reviews.
Chandramukhi 2 Star Cast
The film stars actor-filmmaker-choreographer Raghava Lawrence, best known for acting, directing, writing, and producing the critically acclaimed Kanchana film series, in the lead role.
Along with Raghava Lawrence, the film also stars legendary actor-comedian Vadivelu in the lead role. He is going to reprise his iconic character, Murugesan, from the first film.
Talking about the female lead, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is set to play the titular role of Chandramukhi, a renowned dancer in Kings’s Court who’s known for her dancing skills and breathtaking beauty, in the film.
Chandramukhi will be Kangana’s second Tamil film after her critically acclaimed biographical drama film Thalaivii, based on the life of later Indian actress-politician Jayalalithaa. Earlier, actress-producer Jyothika played the role of Chandramukhi in the first film. Now Bollywood queen Kangana Ranaut has grabbed the role of lead female.
About the Film Chandramukhi 2
Chandramukhi 2 was announced back in April 2020 with director P. Vasu, who helmed the first film, on board to direct the sequel too. The title of the film was given by Shivaji Productions.
The film which was supposed to be produced by Sun Pictures was taken over by filmmaker Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions being his first collaboration with Raghava Lawrence.
Legendary music director M.M. Keeravani has been roped in to compose the music and background score of the film whereas R.D. Rajasekar will crank the camera and Thotta Tharani will handle the cinematography. Later, Raghava Lawrence announced it in June 2022 via a social media post.
