Directed by Gail Lerner, Cheaper by the Dozen is an upcoming American family comedy film that is ready to be premiered soon. The film is the remake of Walter Lang’s 1950 film of the same name which starred Clifton Webb and Myrna Loy as the lead star cast.
A film with the same name was also released in 2003, which became a hit family drama and featured Steve Martin in the lead role. The upcoming remake is said to be a fresh take of that.
The project was inspired by the 1948 semi-autobiographical novel Cheaper by the Dozen, which was written by Frank Bunker Gilbreth Jr. and his sister Ernestine Gilbreth Carey.
The novel depicts the real story of the authors’ life and how they were brought up in a family of 12 children.
This novel was the best-selling book and also adapted into a feature film, and later the sequel of this 1948 film was also adopted as Belles on Their Toes, which was released in 1952.

The official Twitter handle of Disney + has made the announcement of the movie’s streaming on Monday, February 7, 2021, by dropping the poster and the trailer of the movie.
The shooting for this comedy-drama commenced in April 2021 and it took place in Los Angeles, USA.

The makers of the movie dropped the official trailer of this comedy-drama on Monday, January 7, 2022. This almost 3-minute long trailer shows us a glimpse of a fun-loving family of Twelve, the bakers. It seems an interesting blend of family drama and emotions.
The trailer shows how Zoe (Union) and Paul (Braff), a recently married couple, are trying their best to take care of their ten children from previous marriages.

The film is written by Kenya Barris in association with Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry while it is directed by Gail Lerner, who has made her feature film debut with this movie.
Along with writing the screenplay of the movie, Kenya Barris also produced it, under the banners Walt Disney pictures, 20th Century Studios, and Khalabo Ink Society.
The editing and the cinematography in the film are handled by Troy Takaki and Mitchell Amundsen, respectively while the film has music by John Paesano.
