If you are a regular social media user, you surely know about Urfi Javed, a social media influencer who often makes headlines due to her quirky outfits and bold statements.
The actress is once again in news as she gets engaged in a controversy with none other than popular writer Chetan Bhagat after the latter’s remark on her during a an event.
This incident led to harsh criticism of the writer from netizens for disrespecting Urfi and blaming her for her fashion sense. As soon as his statement on Uorfi went viral, the latter didn’t take long to give him a befitting reply.
When did the Entire Controversy Begin?
The entire controversy began when, during an event of Sahitya Aajtak, Bhagat, who was invited there as a “Motivational writer,” pass a comment of Urvi Javed while explaining how the youth of the country are indulged too much in social media.
Speaking about the content available on social media, he said that phone has been a great distraction for youth, especially boys, who spend hours watching Instagram reels.
Comparing the followers of Urfi with the soldiers on the border, he said that once section of youth on the border to defending the nation while other section is inside the blanket watching photos of Uorfi Javed.
Urvi Slams Bhagat for his Remark
Urfi quickly reacted to Bhagat’s remark after it became widely circulated.In a series of Instagram stories, she started sharing his leaked chats, which went viral few years ago during the #MeToo Campaign.
She also posted a video asking him why, despite being a married person, who is also of her uncle/father’s age, he texts the girls who are half of his age.

Bhagat Reacts to Viral WhatsApp Screenshots
Now, Bhagat has responded to the WhatsApp screenshots shared by Urfi on social media. In his recent tweet, he said that he never spoken to/chatted with/known someone where it’s been spread that he has done so. He called these screenshots “fake” and further said that there is nothing wrong in telling people to stop wasting time on social media and focus on fitness and career.
