The critically acclaimed horror film Chhorii is now all set to premiere on your small screens soon. The film is directed by Vishal Furia who adapted it from his 2017 Marathi film Lapachhapi.
Chhorii revolves around a married couple who went to seek refuge in a sequestered place owing to Sakshi’s (Portrayed by Nushratt Bharuccha) husband unable to return the mortgage he has taken from the lenders.
However, Sakshi and her husband Hemant go to the secluded place so as to earn some money to return the loan, further the story is tweaked when Sakshi is threatened to live by their driver’s wife.
Chhorri Digital premiere
Chhorri was premiered on the streaming service Amazon Prime Vido on 26 November 2021 as the platform’s original. The film was praised by the critics and the viewers as well. It has an IMDb rating of 6.9 out of 10.
Chhorii is financed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, Jack Divas, Shikhaa Sharma, and Shiv Chanana under the banner Abundantia Entertainment, Crypt TV, T-Series, and A Pshych Film.
A Sequel is on the way…
Following the success of the film, makers in Dec 2021 decided to turn the film into a franchise by announcing a sequel to the film which is tentatively being called Chhorii 2. With Nushratt Bharuccha returning as the main lead and Vishal Furia in the director’s chair again.

However, the World Television Premiere of Chhorii will be broadcasted on the entertainment channel SonyMax on 12 March 2022 (Saturday) at 8 PM.
