Also the author of the novel Cobalt Blue, the romantic thriller film has been directed and written by the author himself, Kundalkar Sachin, and produced by Priya Sreedharan, Wasim Khan, and Zulfaquar Torabi, under the banner of Open Air Films.
Kundalkar was also honored with a National Award for the best screenplay for the movie Gandha in the year 2008. This is looking like another promising film.
Cobalt Blue Release Date
The official release date of the film was December 3, 2021, but postponed due to unknown reasons, it will be streamed on the OTT platform of Netflix, the new release date will be announced soon. Though it was to be released earlier this year, the release got delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Cobalt Blue Plot
The story revolves around the life of two siblings, Tanay and Anuja (Neelay and Anjali), who fall in love with the same man, their house tenant, who is a mystery man with no family, no surname, no friends but is perfect for the Joshi family, with he being the siblings’ muse and a good listener to their mother’s cultural stories.
The climax of the story is the day when he vanishes suddenly and the whole conservative Joshi family breaks down because of the siblings’ actions. The story is a portrayal of love, romance, heartbreak, sexual orientation, family drama, and much more! The much-awaited film is the depiction of Kundalkar’s best-selling 2006 novel ‘Cobalt Blue’.

This unfiltered romance thriller showcases the tale of a homosexual brother and a rebellious sister who fall in love with the same man and end up in social havoc. The trailer also highlights a saying “Love is a habit. The habit ends. You die!”. The film is set in the early 90s and is a saga to the different shades of relationships.
