As per the reports, Cobra had an excellent morning occupancy but seems like negative reviews played spoilsport for the movie as the trend was flat during noon, evening, and night shows in TN. Cobra had an overall 44.39% Tamil occupancy and 35.63% Telugu occupancy on Day 1.
As per the trade estimates, Cobra accumulated 20-22 cr gross range on Day 1. It is a mid-week release film, so, it needs a good word of mouth to gain momentum over the weekend.
