American martial arts comedy- drama series Cobra Kai is set to return with its 5th season soon, after delivering four successful seasons. The series is a direct sequel to The Karate Kid franchise which includes The Karate Kid (1984), The Karate Kid Part II (1986), The Karate Kid III (1989) and The Next Karate Kid (1994).
In 2010, a similar remake named The Karate Kid with a similar storyline but a different set of characters was also released. The remake focuses on kung fu, as the film was set in China and it starred superstar Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith in the lead roles.
Set 34 year laters the events of The Karate Kid franchise, the first season of Cobra Kai marks its debut in 2018 on YouTube Red, with a second season following in 2019. In June 2020, Netflix acquired the series and released its season 2 on Jan 1, 2022 following the fourth season on December 31, 2021.
The series created by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg , was renewed for its fifth season in August 2021 by Netflix even before the premiere of the fourth season and fans are really excited to watch Cobra Kai Season 5.

Kobra Kai Star Cast
Season 5 will mark the return of the main cast from its previous seasons. Actor Ralph Macchio will be back in his role as Daniel LaRusso. Similarly, it will bring back William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence, Courtney Henggeler as Amanda LaRusso, Xolo Mariduena as Miguel Diaz, Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene, Mary Mouser as Samantha LaRusso, Jacob Bertrand as Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz and Venessa Rubio as Carmen Diaz .
Among the group of familiar faces is actor Sean Kanan, who is reprising his role as Mike Barnes from The Karate Kid III. Other stars from the original franchise who are reprising their roles are Randee Heller as Lucille LaRusso, Yuji Okumoto as Chozen Toguchi.

About the Show
Cobra Kai follows the lives of Daniel and Johnny more than 30 years after the events of the 80s “The Karate Kid” franchise. When the two decided to open competing dojos, they reignited their old rivalry from High School. Now they are aligned against Silver, who has taken over Cobra Kai from Martin Kove’s villain John Krees.
