British Film Director Joseph Wright is all geared up to come with a musical romantic drama Cyrano soon. Joseph is known for giving films like Atonement(2007), Hanna(2011), Darkest Hour(2017), etc. His latter film has won an Oscar award in the year 2018.
He is now all set to come up with the greatest love story ever told as the makers described the film. Cyrano is a musical drama, screenplay written by Erica Schmidt. The film is based on ‘Cyrano De Bergerac’ play written by Edmond Rostand in 1897.
Synopsis
Cyrano is a love story that revolves around three characters Cyrano (Portrayed by Peter Dinklage), Roxanne (By Haly Bennett), Christian (By Kelvin Harrison Jr.), It follows Cyrano, a gifted poet, who loves Roxanne but knows given his short height she will never love him. On the other Roxanne loves Christian but is shy to tell him, further Cyrano helps Christian through his poetry to make her fall in love with the former.

The Game Of Thrones fame Peter Dinklage in the titular role of Cyrano De Bergerac, Haley Bennett plays lead actress role Roxanne (Her works includes Kaboom, The Equalizer), Kelvin Harrison Jr is the love interest of Roxanne as Christian De Neuvillette. Other actors are Ben Mendelsohn (De Guiche), Bashir Salahuddin (Le Bret), Monica Dolan (Marie), Joshua James (Valvert), and Ray Strachan (La Rae) in pivotal roles.
Reviews
Cyrano had its world premiere in Sept 2021 at Telluride Film Festival. It also got a positive critical response, in the review website Rotten Tomatoes, Cyrano has an approval rating of 84%.
The Film also has been nominated for many known awards ceremonies like Golden Globe Awards, Washington D.C Area Films Critics Association, Satellit Awards, etc. Cyrano won two awards out of three nominations in ‘Detroit Films Critics Society’ which took place on 6 Dec 2021.
Cyrano Release Date
Filming went on the floors in Oct 2020 in Sicily, Italy, The film has recently had a rollout release in Los Angles for 1 week on 17 Dec 2021.
Cyrano is slated to release on 28 January 2022 in the United States by the distributors United Artists Releasing and on 25 February 2022 in the United Kingdom by Universal Pictures.

Cyrano is backed by Tim Bevan along with Eric Fellner and Guy Heeley made under the banner of Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Bron Creative, and Working Title Films. It is made on a budget of 30 million dollars in Indian Rupees Rs 223 crores.
