On the other hand, ace choreographer and TV personality Shekhar is going to host the show. Baahubali fame Ramya Krishnan, who played Vijay Deverakonda’s mother in his film Liger, joins the show as a judge. She had earlier hosted the chat shows like Zara Masti Zara Dhoom and Bigg Boss Telugu Season 3.

The dance reality show starts on Gemini TV from Sunday, Sep 11, at 6 pm (Grand Launch Episode). The big dance show will premiere every Sat-Sun, 9 pm, 1st and 2nd episode to premiere from 17th Sep.

OTT platform Aha, which offers the best content, especially in Telugu, revealed the release date of its Original show Dance Ikon. The first episode was graced by Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, the two leads of sports drama film “Liger“.

Popular TV personality and filmmaker Ohmkar, who produced the show under his Oak Entertainments, will be hosting the show, which marks his debut in the OTT world. He in the past has hosted as well as produced many Telugu TV shows such as Maayadweepam, Tata, Six Senses and many more.
Along with Ohmkar’s Oak Entertainments, popular Telugu producing houses such as Geetha Arts, Sithara Entertainments, Sri Venkateswara Creations, SVCC and Mythri Movie Makers are also backing the reality show.
Dance Ikon Mentors
Dance Ikon has roped in noted TV personalities and choreographers- Sreemukhi, Yash Master and Monal Gajjar as the mentor of the show. The contestants will fight the dance battle under the guidance of these masters. While Yash and Monal were judges Ohmkar’s previous dance reality show “Dancee+”, Sreemukhi is a fresh addition.
Reportedly, the choreographer/mentor of the winning team of the show will get an opportunity to choreograph a song in a film featuring a top Telugu star.
