Dear Dia is an upcoming Hindi romantic drama film, directed and written by K.S. Ashoka, who is popularly known for his 2013 debut directorial Kannada horror film “6-5=2”.
This film is the Hindi remake of 2020’s multiple award-winning Kannada romantic drama “Dia”, which was also helmed as well as written by K.S. Ashoka.
The film was released in February 2020, shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic hit the country. It became a blockbuster, as the story of the movie was different from the typical romantic dramas.
The success of this movie changed the fortune of its leading star cast- Dheekshit Shetty, Kushee Ravi, and Pruthvi Ambaar.
Apart from being a critically acclaimed one, the movie also won several awards and enjoyed a strong IMDb rating of 8.2/10. If you haven’t watched it yet, you can enjoy it on Amazon Prime Video.
After seeing the success of the original version the makers also decided to make its Telugu remake, which was titled as Dear Megha, which was released in September 2021.

Dear Dia First Look Poster
The first look poster of this most-awaited romantic drama film was released on Saturday, 19th February 2022 by the makers.
The first look poster of the film looks so promising which depicts it as a movie that is centered around a love triangle between the characters played by the leading star cast of the movie.
Popular Indian film critic Taran Adarsh also shared the poster of this film and one of the lead stars of the film Pruthvi Ambaar, who is reprising his role, which he played in its original version Dia, thanked him in response.
Dear Dia Star Cast & Release Date
Pruthvi Ambaar, who played Adi in the original version will be back in his character, in the Hindi remake, and this film is going to mark his Bollywood debut.
Along with him, Mihika Kushwaha and Ujjwal Sharma, who are also the lead actors in the movie, will reprise the roles of Kushee Ravi and Dheekshit Shetty from the original (Kannada) film, respectively.
The film is directed as well as written by K.S. Ashoka, and it is bankrolled by Kamlesh Singh Kushwaha under the banner of Netrix Entertainment Private Limited.
Talking about technical work, the cinematography is handled by Ashok Mishra and the film has music by Rishabh Srivastava along with Rakesh Kharvi.
The songs of the film will have the beautiful voices of popular singers of Bollywood including Jubin Nautiyal, Shankar Mahadevan, Palak Mucchal, and Jyotika Tangri, set for 10 June Theatrical release.
