Malayalam film industry’s young and promising star Tovino Thomas starrer coming-of-age film Dear Friend had hit the theater last month and is ready for its OTT streaming soon.
The film ‘Dear Friend‘ is Directed by Vineeth Kumar of “Ayal Njanalla” and written by Sharfu, Suhas and Arjun Lal. Set in the modern era, the film’s story was inspired by Arjun Lal’s experiences in Bangalore.
It revolves around the life of six friends and the twists and turns their life takes. It’s all about love, friendship, family and fun.

The film had a theater release on July 10, 2022. It received mixed response from audience as well as critics with all praises for the star cast’s performance and critics from critics for its ending.

There were different reviews from different critics on the film. One of the film critics of The Hindu praises the film’s premise but calls the ending of the film disappointing. The Times of India’s Anjana George said that the film is for those who cherish intimate friendship as an important part of the fabric of their life.
