The action espionage film Dhaakad finally arrived on its final day of the first weekend, the film was opened with a dull opening day at the box office.
Let you know, Kangana who had earlier mocked Alia’s Gangubai Kathiawadi’s box office collection had seen far fewer collections as compared to GK. Alia’s film had earned Rs 10.05 Cr on an opening day while Kangana’s flick garnered just Rs 50 lakhs.
Now, seems like it’s time for the introspect for Kangana as she is no doubt an actor par brilliance but there’s something missing in her films, she needs to find that factor that could attract the audience at the ticket windows.
If leave Manikarnika that too is considered an average film, the actress has a series of flops I Love NY, Katti Batti, Rangoon, Simran, Judgemental Hai Kya, Panga etc.
Talking about the box office collections of Dhaakad, it managed to churn out over Rs 1 Cr in two days. The majority of the shows are given to Kartik’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which had seen a double-digit opening, Kangana’s flick got fewer shows, with only 15% of shows booked in the cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune.
In other cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Kolkata, and Kochi advance bookings are not very impressive for the final day of the first weekend.
As per the early reports, Dhaakad sees a slight growth on Sunday, it earned around only Rs .55 Lakhs on the final day of the opening weekend from the domestic market, showing only 10% growth on Day 3 for a total first-weekend collection Rs 1.55 Cr.
While earlier it was expected that it could show the double growth but it failed to do so, now the journey of the film ahead becomes tougher for Kangana starrer
